How to Add Accessories to Men's Fashion

Great men's fashion accessorizes with cuff links - Wardrobe DesignIf you're a man who has good fashion sense, takes great pride in his wardrobe and cares about leaving good first impressions, you're probably interested in personalizing your clothes with accessories.

Oftentimes, when you think of accessorizing, you tend to think more of women's fashion than men's, but men need to accessorize also.

Accessories add a little spice and interest to your appearance.

How do accessories help?

If every man walked around in a black suit, white shirt and black tie, think how boring and bland that would be.

Good accessories add just the right finishing touch and help define your own personal look, which sets you apart from the crowd.

Accessories to consider:

  • Use neckties to accessorize mens fashion - Wardrobe DesignNeckties - A good looking tiewill be one of your first accessories to be noticed. It's kind of like a beautiful picture on the first wall you see when you enter a room, it catches your eye and leaves an impression.
    • Great ties can add the right amount of color and interest.
    • The nice thing about a tie is you can wear a different one every day for a whole new look.
  • Men's Jewelry - Adding the right type of jewelry can add style and class to your look. Items that you may consider wearing are:
    • Cuff links and tie bars- Of course you need to have shirts with french cuffs to wear cuff links, but if you do, it's nice to match your tie bar with your cuff links. Be sure to have styles that are simple with a timeless look.
      • I don't recommend wearing tie tacs, because they poke holes into your expensive ties.
    • Rings - Typically a man should wear no more than 2 rings at a time - preferably one on each hand. Choosing a ring is an individual preference, but when you are making that choice, consider the impression it will leave.
    • Use a watch for men's fashion asscessories - Wardrobe DesignWatches - A man wearing a watch on his wrist is a very classic look. I would suggest that if you are a man who wears watches that you have at least two.
      • Since sports watches and suits are not a good combination, have one dress watch and one that is more appropriate to casual clothing. There are so many watch styles available it shouldn't be hard to find exactly what you want.
  • Pocket squares - A pocket square can be a nice addition, as it adds color to a plain dark suit. Coordinate the color of your pocket square with your tie for a great look.
